Ship design is a complex and iterative procedure and it cannot be described by a set of equations, which can be solved directly. The primary goal of the designer is to create a project that not only will satisfy regulations and requirements, but also it will fit in the marine environment, economic trends and the accelerating advance of technology.
This course will present all the tools needed for an organised step by step procedure, in order to carefully select all parameters that a naval architect needs for a complete and efficient new way of design.
